It clearly makes sense that gender is a spectrum.. Think about it, you can have more masc/femme men and women. No reason why someone can't end up being between those two.
Heck, there's even a spectrum for sex if you think about it. Some AFABs are physically more masculine than others, you get intersex people, etc
