Come on, do a little digging. Start by reading up on all the protocols, review systems, codes of conduct, design outlines, operational outlines, handling outlines and conventions the IAEA has put into place since 1986.

But it takes about a hundred billion dollars to develop a Thorium reactor that's actually safe and reliable. After that: problems solved.

The fossil fuel industry has too much power to make this happen before most oil reserves are gone. They own all large governments.
