I want to get my GED rather than spend years trying to get my diploma. I'm already passed when I should have graduated and would rather not spend 5 more years trying to get something when I could get a GED and start college and working towards the career I want but everyone is saying to just get my actual diploma. Thoughts ? Advice ?

The GED is basically your diploma right? Are there any things a diploma has over a GED?

I heard people who get diplomas make more but I'm not sure if it's just screwed statistics or not

After a little research i guess I could sum the advantage a Diploma has over a GED is something like "street cred". Employers and some colleges are more responsive to a diploma, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. Most places would accept a GED in place of a Diploma, so I guess it's up to you if you wanna do a little leg work in getting it and going to a place that would accept it same as any other Diploma. It's up to you If you really wanna start working towards your career.
