Is the new season out already? I haven't been following that closely.

Nah, the new season won't be out 'til ~late fall. They simply released the clip of the new intro.

I stopped watching after the 10th doctor cause life got busy, how's it been? People still pissed about the new doctor being a woman or is that over now?

I think that's over.
It's been going exponentially downhill after 10. Matt was great, but there were some of THOSE episodes.
Peter had just god awful writing.
I'm pissed at WHY they decided to make these changes in the first place.
And the new opening screen looks more like a romantic show that Doctor Who.

@timebender25 Oh boy, I see what you mean. I don't want to sound like "oh no I hate change blah blah" but the DW opening is a classic and the music is a classic and it applies to all the seasons and Doctors so there's really no reason to change it.

@Parisqeen Yeah, because Nine showed up with such a classic opening. It sounded exactly like 1 thru 7. Wink wink.
That said. I think they are trying to move away from the drama and back to the WTF? Granted 11 did have a huge bee and dinosaurs. But 4 dealt with real stuff , like saving Davros. And where is the seal of Rassilon?

I mean the writing was declining. They had great actors, but the episodes were more individual than built together. There was a large over arching thing, yeah. But the actual plots of a fair bit if them were very disconnected from the rest.
And then their were episodes like "Kill the Moon" which forced the view to make too many assumptions, had too many leaps in logic, and all around made little sense.

What would happen in an episode would almost never bleed over as consequences in the next.

I just want to know how Queen Victoria became a goldfish and how did he put her back. I mean a werewolf goldfish? Really?
