You could try going to sites like 4chan and looking in video games thread in the /t/torrents board. Sounds edgy but users on that board like torrenting and sharing files. If anyone post a virus, they will snitch because they wouldn't want anyone else sharing viruses. They all like free stuff and the last thing they want is people sharing fake links and malware. You can also just ask where they get their games from and what emulators they use.

Virus and malware have become very advance. It's difficult sometimes for anti viruses to detect things like Key loggers. You need a good anti virus if you want to play it safe. But the site looks legit.
