This is what I’ve been afraid of, and why I keep trying to jump in on these threads where’s people are all worked up. It’s how humans work. Take a bunch of people who feel powerless and in the dark, and before long they’ll invent their own boogie man, and not long after that they’ll set out to kill it. It’s history- basic history, over and over. I’m honestly less sad that anything would happen to the site at this point than I am that people can’t learn basic lessons from the mistakes and experiences of others, even if they’re the same things we have seen happen cyclically throughout history. It makes me sad for the world, and between the two jars “try and leave the world better than you found it,” and “take it all, who gives a shit what happens after you’re dead- you don’t have kids,” this would put a marble in the latter jar.

Compared to this behavior, the bots are fine by me. The people posting straight-up pornography need to understand that they're being orders of magnitude more destructive for this user base. It's not just the obvious disrespect to their fellow funsubbers. They're reaching in to other people's work and home lives and being intentionally destructive. We are real people that can suffer Very Real Consequences. If I had seen that pop up at someone's desk at my office, I would have immediately terminated their employment, no questions, no arguments. I was just showing something from here to my nine year old nephew late last week. If that crap had popped up, I would instantly be a criminal. I am appalled.

@jasonmon I did pass that along to cycy, who, along with Hyperion, has been expressing some distress over their part in the entire incident. Whether anyone else in the discord will see it, I have no idea.

Basically some of the people that left here joined a discord to help keep the community together. Which is great. But some are still disappointed and passed over how Zeus has handled this whole thing. Some more pissed than disappointed.

According to the discord, some of the bots posted some pornographic imagery.

A few people in the discord saw this and started talking about it.

It's unclear who started what followed.
-Hyperion claims they posted a dinosaur picture in response, and that they did so before others. I'm not sure which one was the dinosaur picture at this point. But, if it's related to this, I can assume it was not a pleasant image

Were all mentioned or actively took part in the discord chat, which quickly devolved into a huge collusion to spam funsub with porn. Often beyond just porn (there was scat imagery, princess peach imagery, furry imagery), not all of which was behind a nsfw filter (though that's besides the point), with titles and such that made it clear the intent was to burn funsubstance to the ground.

They did this with full assumption that the site is not being monitored, and that these pictures would remain up for at least several days.

At some point some of the members of of the discord began to object (metalman among them), and several members of the actual funsub community were expressing extreme upset as a result of this. A few people talked about quitting the website entirely.

TimeBender25, who owns the discord, made a full apology to the best of his ability on behalf of the discord's actions, told people NOT to join the discord, and told his discord to cease and desist. Some supposedly had already done so. It's hard to say.

Shortly after this, most of the porn that had been posted was removed, and the accounts used deleted, and discord claims it was the users responsible who deleted them, and I don't have real reason to doubt that

Several of the people responsible said, within the discord, that they regretted what they did, and they acted out of anger. Cycy (under the name blupp) eventually posted an actual chat on here issuing an apology and trying to explain her side. Hyperion also issued an apology, on behalf of himself and the discord.

Nevertheless, the majority seem to have expressed at least some understanding that an error was made. Sadly, only to the discord chat, and not to the community, but Hyperion, cycy, metalman, and timebender25 have done their best to speak for them (not sure if I missed anyone, I haven't scoured the chat feeds yet).

Right, I knew I was missing someone, sorry condor. I'm doing my best to include all responsible on both sides (both for the content, and those who tried to fix the issue).

Indeed. Part of why I'm trying to summarize it here. I had to go through screenshots of the discord chat to find most of the people responsible, on both sides. Not to stir the pot, but because I think the community has a right to know who was involved in what. Especially if anyone is planning on joining the discord or funsub, or was thinking about quitting because of this. To the best of my ability this accounting is the truth, as complete and unbiased as I can make it.
