There was a beautiful golden lab named Cooper. He was tied to a tree with a 1 foot chain for over a year on an Indian reservation in Ontario. Neglected, malnourished, and sad. Then one day, my dad adopted him. Now he lives on a nice big property on the water. He can play in the grass, swim in the lake, and he gets daily walks/runs in the winding trails in the woods. He's fed well, incredibly well trained, and gets so much love. I see them every once in a while and he's a very happy dog. An absolute love sponge. And a tough mofo. Nothing fazes him. He runs face first through brambles and branches and doesn't care. He's a freight train of dog speed. He barrels around the trails at top speed for hours. He loves smelling all the smells and munching on blueberry bushes in the summer. Oh, and we renamed him Trooper because it's more appropriate now.

Those are both wonderful. Thank you for taking time out of your day to help a stranger in need. I won't forget what you did for me

My dog is very floofy (Samoyed breed) and I finally collected enough of his fur to spin into yarn and knit a hat for my son! That dog has nothing but love in his body and now my kid can carry that love everywhere.

We’re an apex predator species but many animals turn to us for comfort and help when they need it. There are lots of stories.
There’s lots of stories of people helping non-pets, sometimes at great risk, just to be kind.
I don’t know if this helps but for me remembering all the wonderful things on this earth around me helps me remember I want to stay and see more goodness.

This one is a bit bittersweet, but whenever there is an oil spill somewhere the people who make Dawn dish soap will just start sending truck loads of it to the site until every animal affected comes out clean. Always helps me to remember that.

My granddaughter is 7. I told her long ago that my car radio was old so it only got old classic rock stations. She never questioned it. Last year I got a new car. She was so excited that we could listen to her stations now. It makes me laugh.

I'm going to college out of state
Growing up in Florida, i never experienced a cold winter or a real fall season
This is going to be my first time seeing a drastic difference in seasons. And I'm excited!!
The downside though, i don't own winter or cold weather gear
