Ringworm will not heal on its own due to being a fungal infection. You should be able to pick up some over the counter anti fungal cream from a local store. It needs to be applied twice a day, and make sure to thoroughly wash your hands after.
If it is in fact ringworm, sanitize everything you own by washing your things with bleach. It's highly contagious. Not dangerous, but it's pretty irritating.

I think I already have anti-fungal cream, my family members have had ringworm before and it's a bit annoying but not the worst. However I don't know if it'll work on cats (probably will cause it's the same target ingredients) but I think I'll ask the vet before doing anything. Thank you for your help!

You can use the same anti fungal on cats. Can confirm, have done it before. :) But vets are also definitely good to check and confirm that it's ringworm

Awesome, that's great to know. I might try that out first and see if it helps then take her if it doesn't seem to do much. Did your cats try and lick it off?
deleted · 4 years ago
Yes. -_- My orange tabby is currently in a onesie to keep him from licking medicine off his arm. He has a spot that he's licked raw.

Aw poor bub! I wonder if a cone would work better? Although I know my cat would literally run away if I put a cone on her head.
deleted · 4 years ago
For ears, a cone would be better. I have a covered litter box, so I went with a baby onesie. He still hates it, tho

One of my previous cats attempted to jump through a stair rail with a cone on.
parisqeen · 4 years ago
Oh god how did that turn out?
xvarnah · 4 years ago
It didn't. Made a heck of a racket and an impressive thump, however (he was jumping up from below)
parisqeen · 4 years ago
I feel awful for laughing but that would've looked hilarious. I hope if I do have to put a cone on her she won't go running off somewhere
xvarnah · 4 years ago
Haha I actually only brought it up because it was funny, and the world certainly needs reasons to laugh atm. He wasn't a stupid cat, but he had a tendency to do stupid things, and he looked so insanely stunned for like 15 seconds after and then walked around and begrudgingly climbed the stairs in the normal fashion.
.
The worst part is he'd had the cone on for several days by then, so he KNEW it was there. He either just forgot, or decided the law of physics need not apply
parisqeen · 4 years ago
The laws of physics don't seem to apply to cats anyway, I've seen my old cat slip through gaps I didn't even know a living thing could walk through, she was liquid

Oh gosh can they ever. The sister of the previous cat somehow managed to get herself UNDER the chimney of the house we lived in at the time. Had to actually lift the chimney up (don't ask about the logistics) to reach her and get her out

Under?????? I don't understand how cats do this, it's like they use portals we can't see to just zooop their way around
kcat · 4 years ago
if it's ringworm you might wanna check with the vet and start meds, the vet might also recommend oral meds. If its ear mites then yeah you should see a lot of dark brown/black dirt in the ears which can be cured super fast with revolution. In either case do remember to vacuum more than usual so that any shedded fur isn't carrying whatever is making your kitty sick and reinfecting your cat or other cats. Hope he/she feels better soon!
xvarnah · 4 years ago
Indeed. I have no idea how she did it, but she did. I also have no real idea how lifting the chimney worked, I'm just glad it did haha. She probably could have gotten out from wherever in hell she got in from, but she had gotten caught on a nail (which is how we knew she was under the thing in the first place)
parisqeen · 4 years ago
Aw a nail, poor baby. Glad she was saved, that situation would have freaked me out.
xvarnah · 4 years ago
Oh it freaked us out too. And then when we finally got her free she TOOK OFF. Had to search the entire block for her and finally found her hiding under the car. Had to take her to the vet after that

Love the little fur monsters, but they're darn good at giving you heartattacks now and again
parisqeen · 4 years ago
They just love to keep you on the edge, it's stressful but they're worth it
