It's way easier to find tho if you have Dolby Atmos
blazingfrags · 3 years ago
What device and version are you using?

I’m liking what I’m hearing. Hope the full charge doesn’t take too long. Did they come with different ear pieces- the little silicone rubber part- to help sizing, or they are one size fits all? Sometimes there are after market ones or optional ones you can buy from the manufacturer to tailor the fit.

Samsung Galaxy A50, and my Dolby Atmos is mainly just 4 different sound profiles; auto, movie, music, and voice.
Also, fair warning, if you're walking with your phone in your pocket, the sound can cut out if you turn your head which is weird, but they don't actually disconnect. Sound comes back if you look forward again. So far this has only happened while walking with my phone in my pocket.

I mean yeah, it's meant to be an economy version of the super expensive phones.

Anyway, the Skullcandy SESH earbuds are overall pretty decent. The charger case that came with it was already 3/4ths charged straight out of the package, there is some range issues, battery life isn't amazing, but still really decent. Sound is pretty dang good, and if you like base, you'll be happy with them. Base price is currently $29 on the Skullcandy store right now, so they're really affordable. I'd have to say they're worth the $20 something I spent on 3 day shipping as well.

Nice. Thank you.

So it does actually come with a few different sizes of the rubber ear things...
guest_ · 3 years ago
Oh? Any of them work better for the looser side?
captainjackharknes · 3 years ago
I actually went a size up, I have big ear holes.

Okay so that think I said about the earbuds cutting out while I walked and all that? It seems to only happen when I'm walking and using data. I was at home earlier, with my phone on the table, connected to wifi, and I got up to get a drink, and walked across the room without losing connection.

That would make sense on Android. Android has some issues with handoff in wireless modes. It’s a combination of a few things- launcher seems to be a component but also there are just so many ways to interface things under the hood that they often have conflicts. But- I don’t think that’s the worst thing- and hopefully for you it isn’t too annoying to deal with? It sounds like you can manage it pretty well and it is at worst a minor inconvenience- but please correct me if I gauges the reply wrong.

In a recent test report I read that the Apple pods are the only ones that don't produce this annoying water-in.-your-ear effect while walking that all other produce by completely sealing the inside of the ear from the outside. It seems they have a functioning mechanism of pressure equalization to avoid that effect. That alone would have me prefer the Apple pods even though I hate that company with a passion.

So I've been in this waiting room for nearly two hours and the Skullcandy sesh buds are at like 60%>

Not too shabby at all. It’s a good start to things. As the batteries age they tend to lose longevity- but depending on use, care, charge cycling and so forth- it’s sounding like with minimal effort these batteries should hopefully continue to offer reasonable length of charge for some years.
