Crap man. I’m sorry. My honest advice is to save up and get something a little further up market. I’m not saying it in a “feel bad way” I’m just being real. If you bought a $60 pair of headphones, and buy another $60- if those last and do well you’re at $120. If you bought a $60, and go a little upmarket this time and pay like $100- you’re at $160, and that puts you in range of some really good new or used Bose and other stuff that gets pretty universally good reviews.

Someone else may have a specific recommendation on a more budget friendly offering that will be robust and do what you want. I hope they do and you can find something that’s what you’re looking for, but at this point, this is just me, I wouldn’t dick around unless you had some type of lifetime warranty or generous return policy that will let you out of the next ones don’t cut the mustard either.

One thing I will say- a lot of retailers and online shops, including target, have put up extended “holiday returns” periods that are also often more lenient on what can be returned and in what condition. So those could be great places to look. You could buy something that interests you and try it out for awhile to see what you think, and then return it and try something else or return it if you don’t care for them.

Now I forget from your previous post- but do you specifically want over ear phones, buds, or are you open to anything that is decently priced and produces good sound and has acceptable quality and is Bluetooth?

I’d try and take advantage of the holidays and the year end model switches and maybe find something at a good deal from the higher end. I’ve found quite often in life good luck with buying $400 things for $200 vs buying things that are $100. But I do understand that money is a factor, and it’s a bad time and bad season for spending. One can easily “it’s just a little more to get this one...” there way from a $60 purchase they’d be happy with to a $300 purchase that may not be objectively better to them.

For over ear, Jabbra actually makes some decent and under $100 stuff... if you can deal with their not so great bleed through. If that’s no concern, maybe look to them in the budget range.
Sennheiser Isn’t super well known. I’ve never personally owned a pair, but I have heard good things from a co worker who picked up a set of their over ears for around $100. They’re maybe a year old and seem to be hanging in. The audiophiles at my work find them to be less than their standards- but those guys also turn their nose up at $300 Bose head sets- so unless you’re very picky about your mids, you’ll probably be happy with them from what I’ve seen and heard.

This just compounds my theory that all skullcandy products are crap. I had 5 pairs of earbuds break in the span of 6 months, but i kept buying them cause they were 4 bucks at walgreens. I got the BackBeat Pro 2 from Plantronics for my birthday 3 years ago and I love them. I treat them pretty poorly, but they've held up. Best of luck searching for new headphones.

Skull candy is not high end and for the same price point you could get some really nice headphones. Jbud wireless is pretty solid.

I've been using some hearing protection wireless 3M headphones for maybe two, three years now? The only significant damage to them so far beyond normal wear and tear is the function button being slightly canted from it's seating but it still works. Haven't had strain or soreness from wearing them for long periods, but if you wan't something with more style you might be out of luck with something that is technically supposed to be used on a construction yard, and they're on the pricey side going from 40 to 60+ American buckos.

I just want something with full volume, and clear sound. My pixel doesn't have a headphone jack, so wired isn't even an option.
iccarus · 3 years ago
full volume not good for long term hearing, just saying
captainjackharknes · 3 years ago
I mean, a full range, tenor, bass, all that.

So last night I had found my old dollar store pair of bluetooth headphones from six months ago, and decided to charge them to use. Anyway I was using them on my way walking to work, and they fucking cut out on me after 10 minutes, so I don't even have functioning backup headphones.

My steelseries are dope, were like $70, bot ear over. I wouldn't be able to do buds with how often i use my headset.
captainjackharknes · 3 years ago
Well, I ain't buying much of anything right now. Still fighting a fraudulent charge on my card, and I had to miss 5 days of work because of a forced family get together

...just when you need them the most smh.
