As of 4/28/21, I have $40 saved up of the total $500-ish I need.
captainjackharknes · 3 years ago
And yes, I know there are other things I should be saving up for. Emergency funds, a car, etc... But honestly, I don't have a lot of things I enjoy. Video games is one of them. And hopefully, I'll be saving enough that I won't be spending as much on alcohol instead.

Well done bro, keep saving!

If it would help you we can do weekly check-ins?

You're largest mistake is fatal. Should have chased down a ps5.

If I bought a ps5, then none of my digital library would carry over. Not gonna rebuy all my games.
funkmasterrex · 2 years ago
you can get steam on a ps5; just sayin.
xlaxxine · 2 years ago
Good luck man
captainjackharknes · 2 years ago
@funkmasterrex yeah but all my games are digital and on xbox. I don't have any steam games I actually play either.
funkmasterrex · 2 years ago
:x perhaps for future proofing yourself any new games you get you should get through steam? Idk, it's your decision, only offering advice
captainjackharknes · 2 years ago
Or I could just go with the already large library of xbox games I have, and just stick with an xbox, instead of buying games I already own.

Whatever floats your sails man
captainjackharknes · 2 years ago
Man, the shop i considered selling my old console to is only offering $90 for it
funkmasterrex · 2 years ago
I don't think you have to rebuy theme. PS5's work with steam, if they're going to go to a cloud format.... xbox either goes extinct or catches up; option two is a win for you.
captainjackharknes · 2 years ago
If I switch from Xbox to PlayStation, I WILL have to rebuy everything. If I just get the lastest Xbox, all the xbox games I already own digitally will carry over.
captainjackharknes · 2 years ago
Well, considering that no place apparently keeps the Xbox series x in stock, and no one told me this, I ended up purchasing a gaming pc instead.

Woahhh

hell yeah, that way you can have the tv on in the background if you want. If you want a controller, all of them are compatible with steam besides a switch (i think, i've never tried, all playstation 3,4,5 and xbox controllers are, and there is also the steam controller. You actually don't even need steam, the drivers are online.
