Have you seen Haven?
It’s a sci-fi ish tv show set up in a Stephen king world.
It’s based on his novella The Colorado Kid
It’s detective work like supernatural but almost everyone in the small New England island town has a power that was pass down through the family.
Some are simple like feel no pain, change weather, walk through walls, but than there are ones like can make taxidermy come to life, turn all food they touch into cake, if the person cries people who hear it die, and one my favorites is one family all the men are mermaids pretty much.
It’s a really good show.

If you're ok with old shows and haven't seen all of them yet, I'd recommend Buffy; I found the two quite similar (one episode is actually almost a copycat, the one with the demon that only sick people can see). It might be my favorite show because of the chara development, humor, and of course monsters.

Eureka is also a favorite score for of mine a bit detective ish but not magical sci-fi it’s high tech sci-fi
A small town called Eureka is home of all the most highly intelligent people. And they have funding like NO ONE ELESE! There is clones as if it’s a common thing, there is a restaurant that has a ENDLESS fridge, there is a point when they time travel, the main character lives in a old bunker that is turn into a smart house that gets an android boyfriend, a female gun expert as a deputy also very smart, every episode is something crazy and cliffhanger. But it’s done with great comedy. The main guy is the ONLY average intelligence so they call him the town idiot lol
