I did. I thought it was pretty good.

I thought it was great but I can't stop thinking about it and the more I do, the more I realize how much of a bummer it all ended up being

It’s been a couple of years so I barely remember how it ended. What part bothers you?

A struggling person who has experienced so much pain finds love, friendship, and a sense of belonging. Then the writers decide the very next season, nah, he's the villain, and even if he really was able to turn around we're going to write in a sort of sexual assault that makes sure the woman he loves now not only wants to kill him but actually succeeds a few times, and things are fucked to the point that when he rewrites time itself to fix everything it's assured that the two of them won't meet and his mutant girlfriend will spend her life without ever knowing intimacy because he was the one person on the planet that could give it to her. And to cap everything off, they state, outright, that his belief that he was a good person who deserved to be loved, was a psychotic delusion.

Well, yeah. Legion is a tragic character. He can’t tell what is real or not because he has the power to change reality to what he wants. A constant state of confusion that led to insanity. I thought it was a good change from the normal good mutant vs bad mutant X-Man plots.
