A couple of years back I decided I wanted to heat up some potato soup for my lunch. I popped it into the microwave and set a timer to get it out. When the microwave dinged, I was reading a really good book. So INSTEAD of putting the book down, I attempted to get the boiling hot soup out of the microwave with one hand (my bad hand as well). I failed. The boiling hot soup poured out of its container and covered me from my chest to my feet. That's how I have third-degree burns.
