In Mexico having someone tell you that you have "ojos tapatios" which means big, dark, gorgeous eyes is a complement. They're associated with women from Jalisco. I often get told I have "ojos tapatios" and asked if I'm from Jalisco, but when I answer that my family comes from Michoacan they just shake their head. Lol
