Not blaming the victim, sorry. Not trying to be harsh to you, if this is how you feel. Tbh, I reacted because it's not a healthy way to think.
I myself just "sometimes have limited bandwidth". That's not a problem. I just can't do much. I'll catch up later. No one wants crazy burnt-out debbidownr, but that isn't therefore proof I need to embrace toxic positivity so I can still 'be there' for people. You don't need to, either. No one does. Don't pick up a cross no one who cares about you would ever hand you.

You don't have to apologize. You don't need to take a brave stand, here. Just - the statements listed here are facts. Your life is not a debate.
It's as crazy that you feel people "own" your time or attention as it would be if they insisted all your charging cables were theirs whenever they were low on battery. That's objectively not how reality works.
Don't say 'I don't do it to be rude.' That's weird. Do you think people live their lives to negatively affect you? No? Then quit apologizing for what is crazy-making logic. Live your life and avoid people who make you feel like apologizing for not centering your reality on them. That's, realistically, not an acceptable way to think.

I can easily snap my fingers to my thumb, making the noise, without the palm. It's not as loud. Is this some sort of joke, and I'm taking it seriously? Like a play off 'lick your elbow'? I'm just baffled by this post each time I see it.

It's RENT. Taxes are rent for being American. No one took it from you.
No, it's not 'your' money since it's already allocated when you took a job in the US.
You get to vote on the people who aportion it. Taxes are not a black hole, or theft.
Just - it's so annoying that we have these other people who live here with all of the awesome benefits of being American and yet act like its some illegal imposition when it's not 100% comfort and fun for them, or when every benefit is not for them personally today.

I mean, it's v cool. But the dual perspective (tattoo and body) would be really distracting during *certain activities*. I'd just have to block it out, regardless of how I felt about it the rest of the time.

A predominantly male-centric viewpoint in public life and male predation are facts. ((They're also in several ways, related and reinforcing).. Posting responses that men are awesome and helpful doesn't change those facts.
I am in favor of all members of my species, obviously. Saying I am "for" a gender makes no sense, as being "against" a gender is ridiculous.
Look, nomally everyone politely avoids discussing the disproportionate ratio of perpetrator/violence by gender. But don't play like this question doesn't have real and very sad answers.

The most typical answer when this question was originally asked?
It centered almost exclusively on activities that are considered too dangerous because of males: running in a park without worry, walking on a beach or downtown late at night, and wearing whatever f*cking thing respondants wanted to.
One of the answers included a story about how, despite the privations and problems of WWII, there was an amazing sense of freedom because all the men had left.

If this is true, I think it’s probably an example of someone knowing too much about the subject. It’s one of the only codes I know; it’s the only one I see. It exists but it’s not going to be a part of actual education; it’s just an old UI code. She might be too young to have seen it in the wild.
