Clownsona is a variation on fursona (the anthropomorphic persona adopted by furries), which is a pun off of persona

Actually, Ben Franklin dying of syphilis is an urban legend, he actually died of a normal chest infection. He did have a lot of sex tho, so it's understandable that people developed that misconception.

iirc, they even copied her discoveries incorrectly, showed it to her, and then got corrected right on the spot. Might be misremembering tho.

Honestly, I even watch english language movies with subs, they help if I miss a word or somebody mumbles. Sure, it means I spend less time looking at the visuals, but I find the meat of a story is usually in the dialogue anyways.

I mean, reading up on Woodard, there seemed to be institutional issues with that too. While the government wasn't choosing to blind him the way the UK government chose to castrate Turing, the trial for Woodard's beating was severely mismanaged, leading to no conviction for the guilty cop, and showed the federal government was unable to effectively punish occurrences like this.

This is partially why Infinity War is my fave. Not to mention that it's just a well-made movie overall, and hit right when I was in my peak Marvel fan phase.

Don't forget the Circassian Genocide 3 comments
e · 2 years ago
According to Wikipedia:
"The Circassian genocide... was the Russian Empire's systematic mass murder, ethnic cleansing, forced migration, and expulsion of 800,000–1,500,000 Muslim Circassians (at least 75% of the total population) from their homeland Circassia, which roughly encompassed the major part of the North Caucasus alongside the Black Sea. It has been recorded that during the events, the Russian and Cossack forces used various brutal methods to entertain themselves, such as tearing the bellies of pregnant women and removing the baby inside, then feeding the babies to dogs. Russian generals such as Grigory Zass described the Circassians as "subhuman filth", and justified their killing and use in scientific experiments. This occurred in the aftermath of the Russo-Circassian War in the second half of the 19th century. The displaced people were settled primarily to the Ottoman Empire."

Having lived in the second world (in this case defined by standard of living, not alignment), I can safely say that our standard of living, economic equality, and opportunities for social mobility are much higher than in the second world, let alone third.
