When I was around that age I used my old cats tail as a microphone
He gave me a clear growl and hiss that he was not appreciating my antics. I continued to use his tail. He whipped around and bit me right on my nose. I still have the scar.
I never used his tail like that again and he never bit me again. That kinda sounds like I punished him, but I learned my lesson and how he liked to be treated so I never gave him a reason to bite me
