All of your stupidity frustrates me. Attempting suicide and committing suicide are not the same thing. It is possible (and admittedly stupid) for an individual to attempt suicide, be unsuccessful, and therefore not kill oneself.

When attempting suicide (even if the end result is unsuccessful) you're still planning to kill yourself, which is why her response is silly when she gets upset over nearly dying.

Let's see... maybe it took the attempt of taking her own life to make her realize she did not want to lose it (I believe epiphany is a fitting term) . Possibility, although it is more likely it was a cry for attention, seeing as she posted this on FB. Nonetheless, the post makes logical sense.

You're being too literal with this. The point is that they tried to kill themself, and didn't realise they could die. It's a WTF moment.
