What if in dragon culture, they light birthday candles for a wish, and that's why we never see them. They made a wish for eternal happiness, and they got it by lighting their birthday candles and making a wish, not blowing them out. Guys... We have been doing it wrong this whole time!!!

And then we blow them out and we destroy their wishes so they get sad and end up killing themselves and that's why we never see dragons anymore
