I get education standardization, especially with an institution as large as the public school system. However, not all students learn the same way. I was a terrible student in high school because I was bored. I was way more interested in talking to the teachers and getting their perspective on things then learning it all myself. When I got into the upper levels of college, things really opened up when I was able to choose what I wanted to learn.

That I can agree on. The only reason I dropped half a grade from junior to senior high last year (from 4.9 to 4.4) is that the subjects got a whole lot more boring than they had already been previously.

Exactly, if you put an ape in a fish's environment, I'm pretty sure the ape would seem stupid. Or dead.

Isn't this a bit exaggerated? I'm pretty sure all humans are the same species and have, generally, the same body structure. I agree with the message, buts it not THAT bad

It kinda is, especially when people planning to go into different fields have to write the same papers. They may not even need certain subjects, but their future could be ruined because they didn't score well enough.

It is in fact very exaggerated. Not only because all humans are the same species and have the same general body structure, but also because most of the people who have the same test tend to have had the same education leading up to that test, which means they all have the same base. Some individualization could be made, but it's not bad as it is.

Oh yes, because the way we answer questions with relation to our career choice has everything to do with our body structure right?

I never said that our body structure has much to do with it, but I see why it seemed like that (it does have a say in PE, though). My entire point is that the people who take the same test generally had the same education leading up to that test, which means they all have the same base. Not all people learn the same way, though, so some individualization could be made, but the picture above is very exaggerated.

Yes, but even in that case, the people may receive the same education, but different people will react to and use the information in different ways. Its easy enough for some people to simply by-heart information and then ace an exam, but some people need more time to understand and others are better at practical work. In many cases, people who ace their exams have trouble when it comes to using the information practically because that's all it is to them, information. And many people have to learn things that they don't even need for their future, and thus become bored with it, may not study it properly, fail the section and have their future messed up.
