The older generation thought these musicians were crap too. Listen to what you want and cut it out with the sense of musical superiority. It's getting annoying.

"The new generation help of teenagers is lost the world educate your children early"
On a second note, stop being petty motherfuckers about stupid shit. People who spend years on the internet arguing about music taste are the literal embodiment of useless. If you want the new generation to be worth a damn then educate them on things that fucking matter. You know, like who gives a shit about the fact that the war this heating up and children are being used as war props around the world, how DARE a teenage kid listen to popular music!!! THE HUMANITY

Does anyone else think that implied child abuse in the face of your children preferring modern musicians to older ones is highlighting a far bigger issue than evolution of music?
Like, I think you should let people enjoy what they enjoy. Be that music, television shows, food. Whatever, if you enjoy that stuff, you should be allowed. So long as the thing you enjoy doesn't hurt other people, you should be allowed to enjoy it even if its objectively terrible music, TV or food.
And I think that criticizing people for liking pineapple on pizza is probably my favorite example of this phenomenon. Not because the pineapple haters are right. Pineapple on pizza is delicious and even if it wasn't, people should be allowed to enjoy the things they enjoy. But because no one should care about this. Unless you are planning on sharing pizza with someone your pizza preferences have no real baring on anything. And most of the time we recognize this as a thing that doesn't matter.

I can say "hey, no onions please" and my buddy, who really wants onions on his pizza is like "maybe we can do half onions?" And I'm like "sure that sounds reasonable" and we both enjoy what we enjoy. Try that same thing with pineapples and someone is upset.
And that's what's great because it's so obviously stupid but people still argue. And as soon as you can get someone to see that the pizza thing is stupid you have a perfect allegory for more controversial subjects.
I have heard pineapple on pizza called "Unnatural " "Disgusting" and "Not the way pizza was meant to be eaten". And I've heard the same arguement used against homosexuality.
I explained this to my friend who hates pineapple on pizza, and it finally clicked. And she understood why I was upset about her criticizing pineapple on pizza.
But the thing is, even before that she was like "does it even really matter? It's just pizza" And I want the various haters of the world to realize that when you use those kinds

Of agrugements I take away that you feel like your better "because you are".
And that's why I love the pineapple on pizza thing. Because we can all take a step back and realize it's stupid. Because it's a shinning example of flawed logic and reinforcement of cultural stigmas that we can wrap our minds around and realize it for its flaws. And I think we need that.
I think we need that because we are too involved with things that are more important. Because we can't see how destructive and wrong we are when we like posts that celebrate beating a child for music preferences. It's too important to like the music we like, we need and example to draw similarities to so we understand why we are wrong.
