i agree cats are soul wrenching creatures from the underworld, while dogs actually like you and you can play with dogs whenever you want not just when he's in the mood

Pretty sure it depends on the personality. Whenever one of my friends my dogs haven't met before shows up, they immediately leave me and devote all their attention to the newcomer.
Okay, true, some cats can be loyal and perhaps some dogs aren't. However, most dogs are loyal because it is their instinct, the are pack animals and if you treat them right then they will be loyal. Cats, on the other hand, are solitary by nature. So, I think that, as a generalisation, dogs are the more loyal species, but I'll admit that there are exceptions.
