It's an enemy you unlock at Level 13 upwards. It's dangerous and often fakes low HP to lure you into a false sense of calm but can attack without warning and can leave you barely alive. Once you get it under control with a lot of love, it can Evolve into a Wife.
(LATE COMMENT) Actually there is, in Terraria there is a monster called a 'lost girl'. Unlocked after beating the WoF, it only has about 25 hp and designed as a partially naked girl that says 'rescue' when interacting too far away. When you get close to it, then it reveals that it's a Nymph with 250 hp and attacks you, dealing high damage.
