This is why I get annoyed when people say "but you're really clever." Intelligence is a spectrum in terms of amount and application. If somebody is good at one type of thing, it does not mean they will excell at everything. Likewise, somebody can easily be extremely good at one thing, but not necessarily the best. There are people who have a limited skill set but are brilliant in their area, people who can do a lot of things but are not specialised in any way and people somewhere in between. In our society, we get pressured to fit moulds and humans cannot do that in any area, not only intelligence. Even this post is made up of vague categories. Every trait we describe about ourselves or others, not only humans but plants, animals, buildings and anything else, is on a spectrum, some don't even fit on these arbitrary scales. The words we use cannot describe things as complex on this. And, because I don't really know how to finish now, that is ok and we, as a culture, need to deal with it
