I'm actually ok when people ask me if I'm on my period, really, I find it considerate if said right. But if you think I'm angry just because of my period then no. Especially when I'm not on my period and the person was actually being a jerk and they ask because they want to justify themselves against my anger.
It's not always an honest question though. And Lily is referring to when people just assume your angry because you're on your period and it's not because oh, I don't know, they were being a dick. Often times the question is also said condescendingly, diminishing the woman's feelings as petty even when she has been wronged and is rightfully angry. To be asked that simply based on your mood, usually by those people who have irritated you in some way, is extremely irritating and disrespectful. It's not always like this but overwhelmingly yes, it's some stupid assumption people make. And that's what the video this gif set is from is about.

I'm ashamed of my female friends sometimes because they're really open with me and so when I ask if something I did made them mad or whatever they say 'it's not that time of the month' and I berate them so much it's not even funny. Strange, how a dude cares more about it than the actual people whos emotions are getting cheapened
If you ask me this as a genuine question, I'll be fine with it. But ask it because I'm being angry or passionate about something, and I'll kick your ass.
If I look like i'm in pain- ask away. if I look ready to rip somebody's head off, don't immediately think 'she's on her period'. Just because I'm losing my own blood doesn't mean I'm automatically looking for somebody else's to replace.
i think there are actually guys who wouldn't mind being with a funny, opinionated, empowered girl like superwoman. she's cool, man. don't say that after just one picture set.
i love when a girl is confident and knows how to spar properly, but i don't find the attitude like this attractive, can be pretty on the outside, but it's what's on the inside that makes a person beautiful
