College CAN be affordable. You may have to go to a local school fir the first two years, or maybe all four. You may have to forgo your dream college experience of not working, of endless activities, etc. You may have to major in something that results in a job with income potential that can pay back loans instead of the most fun thing to study.
Or, there are two year schools that canaward a technical/associate's degree. Not everything requires four years of college.
Face it...stuff costs money, now, way back then, in the future. People found a way to deal with it. If it's not worth the money to you, why should everyone else foot the bill?
