I don't know what a mum is but us white Americans use it too. Always hated it; I think my mom used a spatula to slather it on! My crazy-ass great grandmother used to eat it.
Hahaha my daughter is 2 and I put it on her back, chest, nose, and her feet then put socks on her (supposed to help cough). I may as well bathe her in it lol
