Stop glorifying old time gangsters. They'd bully people into paying them protection money, and if they didn't, they'd destroy their stores and stuff. I hate modern gangsters too, but the old guys were just as bad
What exactly do you think modern "gangsters" do? Oh wait, gang members routinely go around killing innocent bystanders for fun. Mobsters at least tended to keep collateral deaths to a minimum (for the most part ), because people couldn't pay if they were dead.
What I love is that it wasn't until Pope Francis that the Catholic church thought "Hey, maybe we should disavow the Mafia."

The idiocy here is mindblowing. Wanna know where the gangsta stereotype came from? The lower ranked mobsters were the one's who did the dirty work, stabbings etc. They formed into the gangsters we know today and simply adapted to the changing times with style and such. And killing with class is highly exaggerated. Plus they did abuse women, they literally had prostitution rings. What the fuck is wrong with yall.

Yeah, also gangsters nowadays don't join by choice, it's simply to survive. Back then mobsters were open arms and people who made average livings joined. Rarely a street rat.
