Audacity is pretty good, but if you want a good and free audio editor, try Reaper. Once you know a few basic commands and keyboard shortcuts, it's dope.
Fraps is free but you can only record up to 10 secs with the free version you have to pay for the full recording software (but just about every other recording software is better because fraps likes to eat all your storage by making 2 copies of everything)
