Because teenagers don't look as ripped or buff as Hollywood wants to depict teenagers look and make actual teenagers feel inadequate

Agreed, although I like Toby Mcguire just for the stupid dance in the third movie and all the facial expressions. I like Garfield, but he doesn't have a meme.
