I have to disagree. Rape does need proof. I get rape is a traumatic experience, I don't ever wish it on anyone.

But there are too many cases of people being falsely accused of rape, getting jailed, only to have the person who accused come out and saying "no they didn't" and then their entire life is ruined.

Any crime needs proof to convict. Innocent until proven guilty. We sadly can't just take a person's word for things anymore.
I don't think you get the title. The title was intended to be a sarcastic remark that was designed to contrast the actual post. The person in the post gets proven wrong when someone else provides evidence to show that the original person was wrong. My title was simply an addendum to that; nothing more.
No one here said that they are falsely reported more than any other crime. The point is, proof is always necessary when dealing with a crime. As a previous poster said, the US legal system is based on the idea of innocent until proven guilty, and the burden of proof lies on the the accuser, not the accused.
The acting part was sarcasm in the part when they see Boo's shadow Dill is just sitting there with his hands over his face. I'm guessing he was scared?
Whoever just mass-disliked, I sincerely hope that some day you can come to at least accept other people's opinions. Not believe them, but at least accept other beliefs that are not otherworldly or unnatural.
