Agreed, ruining someones life just because you can is a disgusting thing to do. It also discredits a lot of others who DO go through rape/kidnapping etc. but are not believed because others have lied about it.
My problem with this may sound shitty:
If there was a punishment for the woman, she may not have told anyone... and two innocent people would have been forever in prison. But I think there should be harsh punishments for false accusations of any kind!
