Said who? Said a Dutchman. Many Americans seem to think that socialism is the same as communism. It is most definitely not. You can have a capitalist AND socialist society. Those things mix very well.

They mix well when you have a vast natural resource you can exploit as well as a homogenized society that is relatively small in population size.
