There’s a theory of evolution which holds it isn’t just a coincidence that breasts alike to butts with nipples. Humans are theorized to have begun having sex like many mammals- from behind. The butt would have most likely, as with many of our primate relatives, been arousing for its association with proximity to genitals and its prominent view in mating. This is where it gets “chicken or egg” a bit. Established theory holds that face to face procreation (like “missionary”), which is very rare in nature and mammals, is one of the keys to our success and social/biological evolution. Another oddity among primates is the fact that human females breasts are much larger all the time, most primates breasts only get discernibly noticeable when lactating. So: a widely accepted theory is that human breasts signal fertility (being of age and ability,) and make men think of babies- thus making babies. so it is theorized that either the development of these larger breasts helped lead to...

... face to face sex, or that face to face sex was already occurring, and the females who had the gene mutation for fuller breasts (than other primates,) were the ones who men gravitated towards- in the belief of the newer add on theory, this is because the larger human breasts resembled a butt- which our “doggy style” ancestors we’re programmed to seek out for mating, and had spent millennia staring at while in the act. It’s a theory- so take it for what you will, but in essence it is believed that having a “butt” where it could be seen from the front was either a cause of, or an effect of face to face love making- it could be a little of both, but regardless, the females who carried those genes were most successful in mating and that is why to this day most human females have breasts larger than female primates of other species who aren’t pregnant or nursing.
