always get your internet from a local company if you can. The big ones will be much more inclined to rip you off as there is little you can do about it. My local electric company put in fiber optic lines last year and so far we tend to get around what we paid for except for the few times the whole thing went down for a day with technical issues related to inexperience with the tech. (It's ran by people around here so if it started getting scummy they would have their friends and neighbors on their cases about it)
Anytime a local option is available it is almost always a better choice.
ima come down there dude and literally falcon punch the guy who keeps telling me to restart my router. Im like done my dad refuses to switch and they keep just dropping a deuce on our wifi like i cant play any game on my phone or even xbox cause it just lags out got me mad triggered.
Go to your isp with your complains and be lazer focused on the fact they aren't providing the advertised internet speed that you are paying for with that specific language. If they don't do anything about it get it all recorded (speed tests and documents about your paid for services) and send an informal complaint to the FCC
They may ask for more information but if they don't, know that they sent forward the complains to your ISP and the isp is required to respond both to them and to you within 30 days.
If they fail to do so they get in trouble and if they do contact you and they don't resolve the talk to the FCC again and potentially file a formal complain. That costs like 200 bucks and is basically suing them but slightly different
