Vaccinate your cr*tch goblins

Exactly because I feel like some of their fears are rooted in rational or at least understandable conclusions (there IS a big pharma, doctors don’t always have your best interests, the human impulse of fear is greater than the desire for reward, etc etc), and I’d like to understand why people become antivaxxers in order to understand how to combat it. Ideally ex-antivaxxers who know how they fell into that mindset and what changed it specifically. Because obviously us shouting facts at them isn’t working.

I know an anti vaxxer and her point was that all medicines have side effects so injecting something into her newborn baby was scary for her and she felt like there might have been things in vaccines that cause a lot more side effects than doctors let on. I would have taken her seriously if she didn’t let this same kid lick the barriers at public ferry stations and run around barefoot on public roads and drink out of bottles offered by strangers. She also was stupid enough to visit my sister in law’s newborn baby while this same kid had hand foot and mouth disease and ended up infecting my SIL who was already struggling to recover from her Csection, her newborn baby who couldn’t even feed after he got sick and me cause I have the immune system of a day old baby. Antivaxxers are the most selfish and ignorant people on the planet and deserve to be deported to some unoccupied land where they can just go and hurt themselves instead of those around them
