Tell her hay I see you really have no intrest in being with me or pursuing another date but could you please let us get through this meal together undistracted. If you feel the same by the end of the meal at least we gave it a fair shot. I mean you saw something in me enough to say yes to a date.
Now if it turns out she has a very good reason to text than you need to be patient.
Maybe she has a kid and this been first time she gone out since having them. Or maybe she has a sick family member or work. So unless she is texting bs to friends than give her a chance.
Also don't ever leave anyone man or woman alone at a date. That is the wussy way of ending. You just made your self look like an asshole not them.
Or here is another idea ... if she has not the slightest courtesy and good manners, by perhaps excusing herself with a remark about how she absolutely MUST respond to this text or message, then she's clearly not worth bothering to date, and perhaps even not worth bothering with the courtesy and good manners of an explanation why one would just shoot through with an explanation. Just as she had done.
Truth of the matter is we are only getting hos side of the story. What we lack is her side. Maybe she only looked at her phone this one time and he decided to take it to his advantage and post this so when she said he stuck her with the check he can say yeah because you ignored me and was on your phone.
Really it comes down to what we can say what we would do in such a situation he says he was in. And if you notice not once does he say I tired talking to her. Or that he asked her to put it away. So sounds like he sat there and complained to himself and than ditched her with the check. So to me he truly is the rude one.
"Hey could ya not text that is disrespectful and I have no interesting in pursuing this date further or any dates further if you continue to be more interested in your phone then the living being across from you."
