I would say it’s how many men want their outfits to look- but most men don’t actually want to dress that way. It’s a pain in the butt. As cool looking as motorcycle gear can be, and as much as safety relies on it- even most people get sick of getting in and out of heavy gear if they wear it daily, the stiff movement, the added weight, and getting in and out of cars, tight spaces, using the bathroom... etc. etc. so plate- or even cosplay plate is a lot to deal with. Having worn my share of complex costumes it can be a lot of fun but also a pain. Few people would want to put up with the daily. Just as many like a fit aesthetic but don’t want to put up with the daily challenges and restrictions to have it.
That's why it would become a morning ritual, then a night time ritual of taking it off. It would also train your digestive system. You'd have to plan your entire day accordingly beforehand, which might help you become just... more effective all-around.
I thought about this more while having a cig... I have a solution. We make it all out of foam. Both the armor and the weapons. Now we can comfortably walk around looking like Paladins and can whack each other and shit, but it's not a burden.
So... yeah... a big ass, worldwide game of live-action role play.. with foam. I mean, shit, it was pretty dope in "Role Models", let's take it to the next level.
