I have met a guy who REFUSED to wear flip flops or sit near people wearing them all because that was his mom's favorite weapon.
He loves his mom he admits he deserved the majority of those whippings but still flinches when he hears the pop they make when people walk.
He even buys his mom house slippers so she never wears flip flops again. Lol
