It's my understanding that this is because there are too few workers to replace them in many of the farming and animal husbandry industries. Young people simply aren't working those type of jobs leaving businesses with no choice but to continue with their rapidly aging work force.

Plus Japanese people are neither having sex, nor kids. The demographic of this country is about to implode.

They're gonna slowly add other stuff and replace all the human pieces with robotic ones.
