That huge hotspot in the corner is an area of beautiful rainforest I visited the summer before the fires. Some of the most picturesque landscapes I have ever seen. I imagine a lot of that is gone now, I'm glad I got to see it while I could.
On a brighter note, I visited one of the burnt areas closer to home recently and it's striking how life grows back so quickly. I could post some pics if anyone's interested
