PEtA sits at killing about 70%ish or more of killing the animals they receive at their shelters. The amount goes up or down on yearly basis, but their policy stems from the idea that any relationship, working, comfort, support, is unnatural and cruel to animals regardless of function, and the swiftest mercy is to put them out of their misery.
Not in favor of Peta or leaving sheep unsheared, but I would be in favor of not breeding animals to have unhealthy characteristics. Like pugs. Stop breeding pugs.
