I don't find this mistake cute except for 1% of it, but my sophomore year of JV basketball, my teammate, also still my best-est of the friends, fouled a guy when literally the entire bench and the coach were screaming "don't foul". It wasn't even a good foul. It was so incredibly bad we were all in awe with ghast. I've still never heard an explanation for the why... he's still the only person who, deep down, knows. I have hypotheticals, of course... we all do.

Oh, yes, it cost us the game. It sent it to OT. There were 8.9 seconds left when it happened.

It could have been 8.6 seconds. Idk.. if I'm confused about that it's because if by thinking it was around 9 seconds I put the 9 after the 8. and just ran with it. Coulda easily been 8.6, but that's not the point.

I wouldn't fault him. If you're 12 years old and hear the term "mashed potatoes" you think that they're potatoes that have been mashed.
