There’s a lot of scam call places, especially in India, that hire people not realising what they’re getting themselves into. They get locked in a room and forced to do the calls to make a living

Oh, I would doubt they don't know what they're getting themselves into when they call people pretending to be Microsoft service agents trying to hack into their computers.
My favorite one right now is the recording I get when I answer saying "Your social security number has been compromised. Please call such-and-such at the Drug Enforcement Agency." Yeaaaah no.
I had one a couple of years ago tell me I owed money to a hospital in a state I've never been to. They said they were with an attorney's office. They stuttered when they told me the city and state of the attorney's office, and the attorney's name. I hung up and called said attorney's office. It was an immigration law office. So I call the place back and said "Soooo are you saying you are gonna have me deported for not paying a bill that I don't have?" They hung up and never called back.
