We do neither we place the items back in our cart and go to our car where I bag them according to where they go in reusable bags.
Like Freezer, cabinet, fridge, cleaning items, bathroom items, snacks lol, pet items, etc...
It saves on time and money. Because they charge you 10cents a bag here.
But before that happen we used to double bag with paper and plastic. It makes it easier to carry, it becomes more durable less likely to tear or break, the paper and plastic bags can be used for all sorts of things to recycle them, and when you do the double bag it keeps cold food cold long enough till you get it home. Now we have bags designed for hot or cold food.
