When I was pregnant with our daughter I got out of the doctors and walked down the street to the local bbq restaurant.
I only had 3 dollars on me so I was looking to just get a sausage wrap and a water.
It’s a small town everyone knows everyone or they know someone related to you or you are related to them lol.
I go up and the owner is there says hi how is your mom? I say good (he went to school with her) he asks how the baby coming lol I say few more weeks.
He asks what I want I say just sausage wrap and a water.
He asks me if I still got morning sickness because that’s what I would order before when I did.
I say no just I only have 3 bucks.
He says what do you want?
I say I would love some brisket and 2 sausage and some your grandmama’s lemon pie. but like I said I only have 3 bucks.
He filled a box with a pound of sliced brisket half a chicken, 8 sausages and gave me a whole pie lol
I said that’s to much lol
He said eat what you can and take the rest to your husband.
I tried to give him my 3 dollars but he wouldn’t take it. He said I had to promise to bring the baby in when she was born.
We did and he gave us a gift card of 50 dollars to get baby stuff.
We ended up getting her a bouncer.
