So here is a trick if they say they cal in a few days wait a week and call and ask how it’s going if they say they get back to you and still don’t after 4 days call again. Each time mention how you would love to work there.
After another week and still nothing call again and ask if the position is filled. If they say no than tell them that you understand how busy it can be and would love to come work for them. If they say yes it had ask them was there something they felt you lacked that you can try to improve on? Sometimes they will see that you are trying to be a hard work and might let you in on a trial basis.
