There's a difference between the statement "all lives matter", something which I believe is the basis for human rights and common sense, and the All Lives Matter movement, which personally I've only ever seen reacting to BLM and trying to shut them up. I've never seen the All Lives Matter movement advocate for justice system or police reform or anything like it to prevent innocent deaths, only ever popping up when BLM does/says something. I believe the guy in the tweet was trying to point out that the All Lives Matter movement doesn't actually care about protecting lives, only about shutting up BLM, hence why they didn't talk about this poor boy at all. That said if you have any instances of ALM doing activism and advocating for improving the system, I'd love to see them and change my mind on the movement.
Doesn't really matter what you've seen or think of All Lives Matter. This guy had other options. He could have said a dozen other things to make this about the kid. He could have found a dozen other shootings most likely that he could have felt justified making these statements.

So people can break down into arguments and give him backpats on social media rather than actually showing compassion to the family or searching for solutions that actually help.

Uuuh....the idiot who posted about BLM barely indicates any remorse for the child. He painfully clearly has more emotion about the movements then the kid. How is this a disagreement? The guys an asshole on a soap box. He couldn't have made it any clearer if he hung a banner, did a rain dance, then pissed it into the snow.

if i recall, the father ran a police stop, crashed or ended up in an alley, the police opened fired not realising that there was a child in the car. Was a bad shoot.
That's the truth. But enough of my friends are wearing black wristbands in memory of men who were put in less than ideal situations, that I just refuse to say it's wrong until the details and circumstances come to light.
For the confused: the driver was pissed at his fiancee and stupidly didn't stop for the police. As background info, one in their town took the police seriously because the mayor was fighting with them at the time; the department never even had the ability or the vehicles to pull over people before. After a two mile chase, they all came to a dead end road. The police body cam footage records the driver peacefully surrendering with his hands up and the police firing eighteen rounds in to him and the vehicle. The dad was struck in the head and chest but survived. The son was struck five times, including his head. He managed to survive his gunshot wounds from the officers for seven minutes before he died.
That footage was enough to get two officers immediately arrested for murder.
Famous: "I don't have enough information to make a decision, but I *CAN* say that I think there are situations where shooting in the direction of a 6year old may, unfortunately, be warranted."
