Will unfortunately it's the big brother society we've built. Too long, people in power were able to silence those below them, no matter how bad they acted. Now once the way was shown to break that power, people abuse that. Cancel culture, metoo, though may have good intentions, also had collateral damage of innocent's getting their lives ruined.

Dubbed anime is trash anyways. 90% sounds like they are reading their lines off a card like a high schoolers first public reading. Just make everyone subbed only and be done with it.

The term liberty is usually defined for the US as the inalienable rights that men deserve, that our founding fathers wanted. How is a mask any different than forcing people to wear clothes? Freedom doesn't mean free to do whatever you want when your want, that's anarchy.
